Oh, what dreams we have for our kids! There are the big ones and the little ones. We hope and pray our kids stay healthy, try hard in school, succeed in their pursuits and dive into their passions. We wish for them the very best of all that life can offer. And every day we watch them fly or fall- as they take those new steps toward the life they were designed to lead. It’s the most exhilarating and exhausting journey to witness, isn’t it?
For me, these dreams for my children aren’t found in the success or achievements they will have in their lives. My greatest passion in raising my kids, is watching the values and principles I hope to instill in their hearts, play out in life, as they make hard decisions in those circumstances that reveal who they are. When I see my kids so naturally illuminate character traits I value most, there is nothing that brings me more joy. I’ve always been one to focus more on the heart of a person, rather than the accomplishments or accolades. My biggest parenting goal, would be to raise my two kids with good hearts.
There are lots of things that define a good heart, yes?
I’ve been honored to see some of my favorite character traits already taking hold of my kids’ hearts and shining through in their actions at school, on the field, and in life.

Today MomBabble has published my first piece! Woohoo! I would be so grateful if you could go check it out HERE, where I share more about the characteristics I see in my boy as I watch him grow up. After recently celebrating his 10th birthday, I wanted to share more about his heart and all the good I see in it. The dreams we have for our kids, continue to grow as they grow. The qualities I see in the heart of my son, as I watch from the sidelines of life- show evidence that my dreams for my kids are already coming true.
