About Me

I am a “forty something” stay at home mother with an abundant life! Before I got married and had kids, I worked as a music therapist for several years in Chicago’s inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I then moved to residential group homes managing creative arts and recreation programming for four group homes, which was an amazing experience.  In that time of my life, I learned and grew to know the pain and suffering of so many people.  It was incredibly fulfilling to be a part of their healing.

I then moved to Columbus, Ohio to live near my sister and her family. I started my own business teaching music in various private schools and home school co-ops, meeting wonderful children and parents!  I stopped teaching a few years ago, as I realized the ever- growing need to focus on caring for my children. The burden of their medical ailments was consuming and I felt compelled to provide my total attention to them.

I am currently spending my days running my kids to and from school four times a day, volunteering in various kid programs at school and church, and keeping the house in some sort of order!  I also enjoy keeping up with family and friends and investing my time and energy into deep relationships.  I am so blessed to have this season of my life!  I have such a passion for children and people.  It is very fulfilling to spend my days doing what I love to do!

I have been working on a diary for each of my children since the moment I was pregnant with them.  I have been writing for years and thought I should “venture” into a new venue as my dear husband encouraged me to start this blog.  I love to connect with people and especially love to look at and reflect on life circumstances with humor and inspiration.  My hope is to touch people in any way I can, and shine a little light in their world through my writing…

Thanks,

Christine
